I can honestly say I have gotten used to it. Every jump in power is great for a while (up to a point) but you get used to it. At first, the changeover from a 240z with minor upgrades to a bone stock TT was incredible, but it became boring quick. Stage 3 was the same, but again became boring. Where I'm at now is a bit more fun and I could live with the power levels for a while, but again the thirst for more power will win in the end. I understand your assumption based on the freeway comment, I can be a very aggressive driver at times and love driving the z to it's potential on track or street, however I'm also one of the most cautious and attentive drivers of the people I've met/driven with. I also won't hold anything against you for being prejudice against hondas. Majority of them are not tastefully modified and quite frankly laughable, fact. For the record, I don't associate with any car guys in that realm. Among the friends are an rb26 s13, a 240z ka-T project, an sr20 ae86 corolla, a couple other Z32's, a couple 928 s4's, and a couple other high hp hondas (including a 9 sec EG 4 door!) Anyways, no harm done. I'll just close by stating that I am among the tasteful crowd that preaches against body kits, fmic's, or anything rice-inspired. I believe the Z needs nothing other than to be lowered with jspec tails, nice wheels, sideskirts and a subtle lip or bumper to look it's finest. Yours (if it had a TT bumper or a lip) would be a good example of what I consider tasteful.
